Upon arrival to Kathmandu. We will meet you and transfer you to hotel.
Upon arrival in Kathmandu, the first day is dedicated to Tibet visa preparation at the Chinese Embassy. The following day includes a half-day sightseeing tour featuring Swayambhunath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple, and Boudhanath Stupa. After lunch, there's time for additional exploration or shopping, with the evening reserved for relaxation and preparation for the journey to Tibet.
Upon arriving in Kathmandu, you'll take a flight to Lhasa. Upon landing in Lhasa, your Tibetan guide will be there to transfer you to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for acclimatization, allowing you to adjust to the higher altitude. This free day in Lhasa provides an opportunity to explore the city at your own pace or simply relax and prepare for the upcoming Tibetan adventure.
In Lhasa, your day begins with a visit to the majestic Potala Palace, an iconic symbol of Tibetan history. Next, explore the tranquil Norbulingka Palace, once the Dalai Lama's summer retreat. The journey culminates at the revered Jokhang Temple, the spiritual heart of Lhasa, surrounded by the lively Barkhor Street. This day offers a blend of architectural marvels, spiritual exploration, and a glimpse into the vibrant local culture.
In Lhasa, your day begins with a visit to the historic Drepung Monastery, once the largest in Tibet. Next, explore the lively Sera Monastery, known for monk debates. The day concludes at Barkhor Square, immersing you in the vibrant pulse of Tibetan life.
Embarking on a scenic drive to Ganden Monastery, situated approximately 45 kilometers away from the starting point, you'll ascend to an altitude of 4350 meters. The journey unveils breathtaking landscapes as you approach the monastery, set against the backdrop of the Tibetan plateau. Upon arrival, set up camp to immerse yourself in the serene surroundings. This short camping experience provides a glimpse into the high-altitude beauty and spiritual ambiance of Ganden Monastery, creating a memorable start to your Tibetan adventure.
Embarking on a trek to Yamdo, the day unfolds with a 5-6 hour journey covering a distance of approximately 17 kilometers. Continuing the trek, the day involves a 5-hour journey covering approximately 14 kilometers to reach the Herder Camp. The trail meanders through captivating landscapes, allowing you to immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the Tibetan wilderness. Upon reaching the Herder Camp, set up camp for the night, creating a temporary abode amidst the scenic surroundings. Embarking on an adventurous trek, the day unfolds with a challenging 10-hour journey covering a distance of approximately 39 kilometers, leading you to the renowned Samye Monastery. The trail winds through diverse terrains, showcasing the varied landscapes of the region. Given the demanding nature of the trek, an optional stay for an additional day allows for rest and exploration around Samye Monastery. This short trekking experience culminates in the spiritual ambiance of Samye Monastery, providing a rewarding conclusion to your trekking adventure in Tibet.

This short day of sightseeing in Tsedang provides a rich blend of historical and cultural immersion.
Embark on the final leg of your journey as you drive to Gorger Airport. From there, catch a flight to your next destination, concluding your Tibetan adventure. Alternatively, you have the option to fly to Kathmandu, providing a seamless transition to your next travel destination. This short segment marks the end of your exploration, offering flexibility in your onward travel plans.
On this day, you have the flexibility to either enjoy a free day, giving you the opportunity to explore the local surroundings at your leisure or engage in any last-minute activities. Alternatively, you may choose to drive to the international airport for your departure, marking the end of your journey in Tibet and heading back home or to your next destination. This provides a convenient and flexible conclusion to your travel experience.
