Lhasa with Everest Base Camp Tour 09 Nights/ 10 Days
SET FORTH ON A JOURNEY TO THE PINNACLE OF SERENE LANDSCAPES.
Nestled in Nepal, the highest peak on Earth, Mount Everest (8,850m), known as 'Sagarmatha' in Nepali and 'Chomolangma' in Tibetan, beckons adventurers with its awe-inspiring stature. The mountain serves as a natural boundary between Nepal and the Autonomous Region of Tibet, boasting two Everest Base Camps for expeditions. The North Everest Base Camp, situated in Tibet, provides relatively easier access through road transportation, particularly when not hindered by heavy winter snowfall.
Mount Everest's climbing history dates back to the early 20th century when Nepal and Tibet were secluded feudal kingdoms. The inaugural attempt in 1921 originated from the North side in Tibet. Over the years, adventurers have challenged themselves against this towering giant, with the South side from Nepal witnessing the first successful ascent in 1953. While the South side is considered less technical, the North face poses a more challenging climb, remaining closed to western expeditions from 1950.
